AIMEE NEWSOME-STONE
I was born and raised in the little southern market town of Ringwood. I’ve always loved performing from the early days of ballet dancing. I then moved on the music and began to work with names such as Lou Brown and Bob Burke. Lou, Bob and myself then hit Chicago in March to promote Lou’s debut album ‘What Are You Singing About.’
It really was the most inspiring time for me on the road. We traveled 2000 miles in 18 days, stayed in 5* hotels and slept on peoples floors. Unfortunately, during my time out there my grandfather passed away and I remember him always telling me ‘to do things for myself’ which encouraged me to go out and buy my first guitar, a little Martin. From then on I have written and played music until my fingers blistered.
Thanks to his words I am now a fully fledged musician, wounds and all.
