Following an exciting & eclectic array of music from the evening's support artists, Paul Burke introduced the popular Bournemouth based duo to the stage for their debut headline gig & the launch of their second EP 'Walk Tall Past Talking Walls'.

From the very moment they took to the stage, Suzy & Jimmy Intrigued their audience and began their set with the dreamy melody and delicate vocals of  'Before I had a chance to say'.
Much to the surprise of everyone, the usually silent Jimmy Douglas graced the room with a few carefully chosen words & brought smiles to many a member of the audience.

Suzy Douglas  divulged simple yet important details which led to the creations of their compositions, & The Firs encompassed their well known tracks 'Woman of Wood', 'Regrets & Cigarettes' & 'In Your Arms' from their debut EP 'Happy Being Lost', much to the pleasure of their audience.

Introducing tracks from their new EP 'Walk Tall Past Talking Walls', Suzy & Jimmy invited special guests Andy Stone, Charlotte Wirdnam & Sandy Bartai to join them throughout the course of the evening.
The perfectly balanced melodic variations shone through each & every performance, with stunning arrangements & naturally enchanting vocals.
The beautiful melodies leading each listener deep within the layers of vivid imagery, on a musical journey blending tenderly picked guitar refrains,
stories & reflections with a natural style, to create an inviting & mellow atmosphere.

The gentile forest folk moved from strength to strength throughout the
evening as their performances grew in confidence.
Their unique ability to combine truly emotive performances with important lyrics which have a defined meaning in society today, gives the viewer an incling into the sheer spectrum of talent which surrounds The Firs.

The Douglas Firs were blissfully natural, oozing the spirit of the song with every note, enchanting their captivated audience with a perfect blend of stunning vocals, soft harmonies, reflective melodies & thought provoking lyrics.
An uncompromised performance - stripped, laid back, bare & beautiful!
